Predicting the multiscale mechanics of gelatin-based and freeze-dried hydrogels: from cyclic behaviour to damage mechanisms

Keywords : microstructured hydrogels, biomimetic materials, freeze-drying techniques, structural and physico-chemical characterization, mechanical characterization under cyclic loadings, multiscale mechanical modeling, Mullins effect, viscoelasticity, damage, damping properties.

POST-DOC Position

At 3SR Lab, Univ. Grenoble Alpes, in collaboration with Univ. Perugia (UNIPG, Italy) and Norwegian Univ. Science and Technology (NTNU, Norway).
Duration : 24 months starting in 2025.
Supervisors : Alice Di Donna (UGA), in collaboration with Diana Salciarini (UNIPG) and Rao Singh (NTNU).
Funding & environment : European project “Large-scale climate neutral Energy Geostructures in District Heating & Cooling systems/networks (LEG-DHC)”. The candidate will be involved in the project meeting and will have to interact and collaborate with the other partners.
